Happy New Year! May this magical time be filled with the joys and promises of good things to come in 2017!
The ball has dropped; the confetti has been cleaned, and with the brand new year comes, among other things, resident registration for Winter and Spring programs! The date is Saturday, January 7th. Please consult the Upcoming Programming 2017 page on this blog to view the many diverse offerings from the Children’s Department. For a pdf of the program guide, click here, or go to the link located on the Kids Depot page of the Library website. If you are in the Library, pick up the Children’s Department program flyer, found at each reference desk.
Winter Story Times begin Monday, January 23rd and end Thursday, February 23rd.
Spring Story Times begin Monday, March 20th and end Thursday, April 27th. During the spring session, story times will not be held the week of April 17-20.
In addition to the Baby & Me, Family, and Preschool Story Times that we offer, there is a diverse selection of continually popular and brand new programs scheduled for the very young through the tween years. There will be an author visit from Bill Cotter, Yoga Story Time, Experiment with Augmented Reality, Origami Book Creations, and Harry Potter Book Night, to name a few. These combined with program favorites, such as Puppets with Pizazz, Minecrafters, 2nd Annual Dr. Seuss Family Night Birthday Bash, and the ever-popular book clubs, make for a varied and interesting program menu.
As you may well know, the Children’s Department programs fill quickly, so make yourself a reminder to register. If your chosen program happens to be full, always add your name to the waitlist. You will be happy you did, especially if you or a family member has an attack of cabin fever during those long, dark, wintery months of January or February!
